Here are some journal suggestions you could choose to write about: •My biggest surprise •I’ll never eat another... •Creepy, crawly things Remember to use your transition words. Here are a few you might want to try (First, Nest, Then, Also, Finally). Grade 4: Once you have an idea, start writing it down. Use the burger model on your paper. Or print one from here. When done, submit your entry below. Mentors: Take a look at the entries, and give constructive feedback on how the grade 4s can improve. Please do so, for at least 3 students. Have you ever had a paper route? Have you ever known someone who has had one? What are 5 things that a paper boy might do when delivering the morning papers? Create a list in your blog response. Now it’s time to enjoy a story. This is a story called The Paperboy. It is about a young boy with a paper route. The story begins with the young boy waking up very early in the morning. As readers we follow the boy through each step of his morning routine! While you listen to the story pay close attention to the order of events that occur! Now that you have read the story it’s time it’s time to blog. Write a summary of what events occurred in the story.
